Travel: St Lucia

Toby and I took a 5 day getaway to lovely St Lucia which is just half an hour flight away from Barbados. We stayed at the Body Holiday for my birthday which was amazing- service was great, lots of fun activities and of course relaxing. Here is a little look into our quick trip!

Travel: Tulum, Mexico

Tulum was a free spirited bohemian beach town filled with seaside restaurants, jungle like boutique hotels and stunning cenotes dotted throughout this magical oceanside destination. Getting to Mexico was an absolute nightmare as we went through Miami and our flight from Miami to Cancun was cancelled! After lining up (at 2:30AM) for over an hour in the airport to re book our flight, American Airlines gave us a flight the next day which had to pass through Chicago and then go back to Cancun. Basically triple the time it would have taken from Miami to Cancun. At least we were greeted by a stunning sunset at Azulik hotel, which made things much better!

We had an active 2 days in Tulum, visiting Sian Ka'an Nature Reserve where we floated through the mangrove's clear waters, snorkeled the reefs, visited the Tulum Ruins and fully enjoyed the cenotes. We visit Gran Cenote- we got their at about 9AM, thank goodness and it really started to fill up by 10:30AM. Tulum was great- rustic, beachy and super laid back. A lovely start to our Mexico trip.

Hotel Tunich- Delicious fresh juices and smoothies just a quick walk away from our hotel, Azulik.

Upcoming Travel: Mexico {Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Cancun}

Mexico has been on my list from the beginning of this year. I wasn't sure if it would pan out but guess what it did! I will be flying through Miami and exploring Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Very much looking forward to sampling the authentic Mexican food! Yes to guacamole, tacos and margaritas!

Travel: Praiano, Positano, Ravello

For the next 4 days we thoroughly enjoyed the Amalfi coast, exploring Praiano, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. We stayed in a lovely rustic villa in Praiano which we booked via Airbnb. It was the perfect place for our home base, not crowded with tourists and a great area to travel to the other small towns. I must say the stairs are pretty insane! We were located high up on the cliff which gave us amazing views of the Mediterranean sea but we definitely traveled some stairs to get there!

We ate at Da Adolfo which was one of my favourites; super laid back, simple delicious food but still with a special feeling as you have to take a boat from Positano's pier to get to this restaurant. Our last dinner was at Le Sirenuse in the Champagne Bar, we made it just in time for sunset and boy is it one of the best views of Positano.

Honestly the views in the Amalfi coast are dreamy and one of a kind. I hope to be back here again someday!
